My last Friday and Saturday in Africa!

Here is a picture of the beautiful Lunar Rainbow. This is the picture that I have but I promise there are better ones taken by other people!

Yesterday was just as we planned it. We left our wonderful hotel. Here are some pictures:

And then we went to Shoprite (a grocery store) and sat and had coffee at Kubu Craft Cafe. I got a delicious chocolate muffin (yum yum!). We then walked probably a mile down the road to a market. I forgot to take a picture but we will go back I am sure and I will get a picture! After spending some stressful times in the market, and I mean stressful! We got on the bus and came back to our house to pick up three cakes that we had made for each Haven.  When we went we oberved that Aggie had gotten her fro tamed, so of course picture time for Aggie! Here it is:

In case you forget this is what her hair looked like previously:

After dropping off the cakes we proceeded to our house for Nshima (shima) time! Here is a picture of our dinner:

Today we had a late breakfast at 9 and then left for Choma. We had been one time previously to Choma so I felt like we were more prepared this time. I  bought some chitangees and then when we went to the museum I got some presents for some people. :) The museum has a beautiful courtyard with some of their beautiful baskets on display!

We have just arrived home tonight and are getting ready to have dinner in a few hours and then watch some Frozen on the veranda! Yay!! Tomorrow we are going to church at Kasibi, which is where Leonard (the man who makes our food!) attends. I feel that it will be just as cultural experience as our previous sunday and can't wait to go and take pictures! I will keep you all posted!

And here are some baby pictures that I just had to share from Thursday morning before we left for the Lunar Rainbow:

There are two Oscars at Haven 1. I think that tiny Oscar is actually in the background of this picture and "Fat Oscar" is sitting on my lap happy as can be. He is a ham!

And this is Priscilla who sat on my lap after Oscar went to language class. She was very intrigued
 by the camera :)

  1. So many fun pictures and updates! I love it! Yay for Frozen! Happy to hear about your updates. Can you believe the end of our clinical experiences are coming so fast? It is crazy! I hope y'all have lots of energy to finish out strong. Get as much rest as you can and enjoy the last little bit! Miss you!
